Product Details

Pocket Book Books in foreign languages Editorial Review
Au Bonheur des Dames is a compelling literary work that captures the essence of Parisian society in the late 19th century, particularly highlighting the emergence of department stores. Published by Folio, this French novel spans 624 pages and is presented in an accessible format. Readers have noted significant issues with the text, such as translation errors, which lead to confusion and detract from the reading experience. One reviewer pointed out that instances of the article 'LA' were incorrectly interpreted as 'los angeles,' raising questions about the translation quality. Despite these concerns, the book remains a classic exploration of its era and societal changes.
