D'Addario String Winders DP0002B Editorial Review
The Planet Waves DP0002 Pro-Winder String Winder and Cutter in Black is a versatile tool that is highly appreciated by customers. It is specifically designed for electric guitars but also works perfectly for bass guitars. Unlike cheaper plastic options, this string winder fits tightly and is durable. Users have praised the efficiency of the built-in string clipper. However, there are mixed opinions regarding the bridge pin puller. Some users have found it to be ineffective and recommend finding an alternative for this specific function. Nevertheless, the other features of the Pro-Winder, such as the string winder and cutter, are Considered satisfactory by customers. The Pro-Winder is compatible with various instruments, including ukuleles with guitar-like capstan tuners and 38-inch acoustic guitars. However, customers have expressed uncertainty about its suitability for double basses. While it is believed that the string cutter can handle cutting double bass strings, the compatibility of the Pro-Winder with double bass machine heads remains uncertain. Overall, the Planet Waves DP0002 Pro-Winder String Winder and Cutter receives positive reviews for its durability, efficiency, and compatibility with electric and bass guitars. However, potential buyers should Consider alternatives if they require a reliable bridge pin puller or plan to use it with a double bass.
