Targus Laptop Cooling Pad with 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub, Dual Fan Chill Mat for Laptops up to 17 Inch, Adjustable Height Laptop Stand, Heat Protection,

The Targus Chill Mat Cooling Pad offers a portable and lightweight solution for cooling laptops. With two fans and a sleek design, it aims to keep laptops cool and prevent overheating. One customer mentioned that it successfully solved their problem of burnt legs while using a 17-inch laptop. Another customer confirmed that it fit their 2012/13 13-inch MacBook Air with room to spare. However, it was noted that the cooling pad would not be suitable for a PS4 as it lacks vents on the bottom and the dimensions would not accommodate the gaming Console. The rate of airflow (CFM) is unknown, but customers expressed satisfaction with its cooling performance, allowing them to use their laptops comfortably for extended periods. In terms of design and Construction, there were mixed reviews. Some customers found the fans to produce an annoying whine, while others found the overall noise level to be acceptable. The product was criticized for lacking an on/off switch for the fans, although one customer mentioned attempting to disable the USB port feeding into the laptop for a similar effect. The review also mentioned that the Targus Chill Mat Cooling Pad shipped with a USB-A connector instead of a USB-C connector for power, suggesting a potential improvement. Additionally, the stand was described as bulky and occasionally awkward to use, especially when situated closer to the front lip. The overall height of the cooling pad was criticized for creating an unnatural setup when using the touchpad and buttons on the laptop. In conclusion, the Targus Chill Mat Cooling Pad may be a suitable option for those with older laptops experiencing cooling issues. However, customers with newer laptops, particularly ultralight models, may find it excessive and not catered to their specific needs.
