Kimyou Insulated Food Jars Editorial Review
The Kimyou food flask is a premium stainless steel vacuum insulated thermal food container that is perfect for hot soups and dishes. The flask keeps food warm for several hours, but not necessarily the full 9 hours as advertised. Pre-heating the flask with boiling water before adding hot food is recommended for maximum heat retention. On the outside, the flask is sleek and stylish, making it an attractive food storage solution. It comes with a strap that is tough and long-lasting, and the flask itself appears to be well-made. A downside to the flask is that it may not keep food crispy, and it does not work well for preserving ice. However, it will keep food warm as long as it goes into the flask hot. The lid can sometimes be difficult to open; if this happens, push the button on the lid under the spoon. As for compatibility with certain foods, to keep dry foods like Weetabix from becoming too mushy, first add warm milk, then add the dry cereal when ready to eat. The flask may not be ideal for long hotdogs, but cutting them in half could work. The food flask also comes with a free recipe book.
